    Saudi Arabia to invest in developing digital infrastructure of 35 industrial cities

    (MENAFN) Saudi Arabia is planning to invest in developing the digital infrastructure of 35 industrial cities as the country is preparing for the fourth industrial revolution (4IR).

    According to finance Minister Mohammed Al-Jadaan, the National Industrial and Logistic Program is working on this project.

    Minister of communications and information Adullah Al-Sawaha estimated the improved technology from the 4IR could generate around 1 trillion riyals (USD267bn) for the Saudi economy in new revenue streams.

    Al-Sawaha further declared that the Kingdom is going to have the benefit of economic increases from robotics, artificial intelligence, and wireless production models as it pushes for smarter cities and infrastructure.
