    Iran to boost non-oil exports by improving logistics sector

    (MENAFN)According to IRNA, head of Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) declared that strategies are ongoing for improving the country’s non-oil exports.

    Alireza Peyman Pak further declared that “We are trying to boost our non-oil exports by improving the logistics sector and preferential tariffs, and also by reforming laws, regulations, and structures in the trade advisory sector.”

    Pak also stated that based on the plans the export target markets is at the top of priorities to rise the country's exports by USD35 billion over the coming four years.

    In countries such as Venezuela, with which Iran has close financial ties, a mechanism was defined for exchange trade of essential goods, including home appliances, he added.

    The official said that “Considering the fact that most of the countries are promoting domestic production in recent years, we are also considering the exports of parts and even joint production of some products in the coming years.”
