    Iran’s GDP without oil soars by 3.3 percent in April-June period

    (MENAFN) Based on the Statistical Center of Iran (SCI), Iran's gross domestic product (GDP) without oil grew 3.3 percent during the period from April to June of the present Iranian calendar year (June 22 – September 22, 2021) in comparison to the corresponding period of the previous year.

    According to IRNA, the figure that has crude climbed 4.2 percent. The non-oil GDP hit 16.23 quadrillion rials (about USD54.6 billion) during the stated time span.

    The SCI set the median inflation rate in the year-long time frame finished on September 22, 2021, at 45.8 percent, whereas the unemployment rate stood at 9.5 percent.

    Back in October of this year, International Monetary Fund (IMF), in its most recent World Economic Outlook report called “Recovery During a Pandemic”, had expected 2.5-percent real GDP growth for the country during this year, without any changes from the fund’s last report.
