    Turkish exports jump by 33.7 percent in November

    (MENAFN) Based on Turkish official figures published on Friday, the country’s exports and imports witnessed a yearly increase of 33.7 percent as well as 27.3 percent to hit USD21.5 billion and USD26.9 billion.

    According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), Turkey’s external trade shortage jumped by 6.9 percent year-on-year to around USD5.4 billion two months ago.

    The export-import coverage ratio amounted at 79.8 percent during the mentioned month. Without the energy and gold exchange, the country’s exports and imports stood at USD19.9 billion and USD20.2 billion, in that order.

    Based on TurkStat, external trade shortage, without energy goods and non-monetary gold, amounted at 315 million two months ago. During the first 11 months of the year, the nation’s exports climbed by 33.8 percent on an annual basis to reach USD203.1 billion, whereas imports jumped by 23 percent to hit USD242.44 billion.
