    Turkey’s stake in international transactions surpass 1 percent

    (MENAFN) According to the Turkish president statement ton Monday referring to the recently declared 2021 export numbers, the country’s stake in the international trade surpassed 1 percent for the first time the previous year.

    Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated to reporters after a Cabinet gathering in the capital Ankara, while the international commodities trade dropped 10 percent during last year, Turkey maintained to raise its exports by 33 percent.

    The president emphasized that in comparison to 2002, when the country’s yearly exports stood at 36 billion, they climbed by six times, as Monday’s numbers demonstrated that the nation’s exports hit USD225.37 billion the previous year.

    He also stated that the country’s overseas trade volume reached around USD500 billion in the past year, while it could not hit USD88 billion in 2002.
