    Turkey reaches top record of wind energy volume during last year

    (MENAFN) Based on data collected by Anadolu Agency (AA) from Turkish Wind Energy Association (TWEA) data on Tuesday, the country attained a new top record of yearly volume surge in wind energy during last year with the addition of nearly 1,750 megawatts (MW).

    A past top record rise in yearly wind energy volume was achieved in 2016 with 1,248 MW.

    The Turkish overall wind power set up volume hit 10,750 MW towards the end of the previous year, with the number of wind energy schemes in operation amounting at 270.

    Based on TWEA data, wind power additions amount for half of total electricity capacity raises in last year.
