    Turkey’s current account balance registers USD2.68B deficit

    (MENAFN) Based on Turkish official data stated on Tuesday, the Turkish current account balance registered a USD2.68 billion deficit in November of last year, dropping by USD866 million on a yearly basis.

    According to the figures released by the Turkish Central Bank, the nation's 12-month rolling deficit amounted at USD14.25 billion.

    The bank stated, "this development is mainly driven by the net inflow of USD1.9 billion in services item increasing by USD794 million compared to the same month of the previous year and the net outflow of USD3.47 billion in the goods item decreasing by USD385 million."

    An Anadolu Agency survey released the previous week indicated that a group of 15 economists predicted the current account balance would register a USD2.23 billion deficit in November.
