Turkish crude steel output reaches record high last year

(MENAFN) Based on the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD), Turkish crude steel output jumped by 12.7 percent to hit 40.4 million tons last year, registering a record high.

The nation's steel sector succeeded to end last year with great numbers in spite of the international protective procedures, raw material, energy shortage, and constraints to eliminate carbon emission.

According to the association’s statement, on June 2020, the country’s crude steel output entered a stage of increasing prices as the markets began to slightly rebound after deteriorations because of coronavirus.

The statement also mentioned if the output losses because of natural gas and electricity blackouts are reduced, it is predicted that the vibrancy in the sector is going to carry on to this year owing to rising capacities via continuing investments.
