    Jordan’s Arab Bank registers 61 percent raise in profits over economic rebound

    (MENAFN) Arab Bank, Jordan's largest lender, registered a 61 per cent increase in its 2021 net profit, as net interest and commission revenue jumped owing to sustained economic rebound.

    According to the lender’s statement on Sunday, net income after tax climbed to USD314.5 million from USD195m in 2020, in spite of a pandemic-triggered doubts.

    Based on Nemeh Sabbagh, Arab Bank chief executive statement, “the year 2021 showed a partial recovery of the economic environment, which the bank benefited from.”

    The bank posted a 15 per cent increase in net interest and commission revenue, with net operating income surging 8 per cent to hit USD1.11 billion.
