    Predictions for Turkey’s current account balance to register USD3.98 deficit

    (MENAFN) Based on Anadolu Agency survey published on Wednesday, the Turkish current account balance for the last month of 2021 is predicted to register a shortfall of USD3.98 billion, a group of 27 economists' predictions for the month varied between USD2.5 billion and USD4.8 billion.

    The survey demonstrated that the end-2021 current account balance is predicted to register a shortfall of USD14.6 billion, with predictions varying between USD12.5 billion and USD15.7 billion.

    The Turkish Central Bank is going to announce the balance of payments numbers on Friday. In November, the current account registered a USD2.68 billion deficits.

    Another Anadolu Agency survey on Wednesday demonstrated that the Turkish calendar-adjusted industrial production index for December of last year is predicted to increase by 10.8 percent.
