    Turkish major stock index closes Wednesday’s session on high note

    (MENAFN) The Turkish major stock index closed Wednesday’s session at 2,041.43 points, soaring by 0.16 percent from the last ending.

    Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index opened the day at 2,049.91 points, the stock index surged 3.27 points from Tuesday's ending of 2,038.16 points. The lowest index worth throughout the day stood at 2,036.25 points, while its everyday high amounted at 2,057.88.

    The overall market worth of the BIST 100 was about 1.6 trillion Turkish liras (USD120 billion) by market end, with an everyday exchanging volume of 24.9 billion Turkish liras (USD1.8 billion).

    Throughout the third trading day of the week, 47 stocks on the index jumped, 45 plummeted, whereas eight remained at the same value in comparison to Tuesday's ending.
