    Turkey’s overseas loan stock reaches USD125.6B

    (MENAFN) Based on the Turkish Central Bank statement on Thursday, the country’s short-term overseas loan stock stood at USD125.6 billion towards the end of last year.

    According to the bank’s statement, the external loan that is expected to be paid in the upcoming 12 months soared by 10.2 percent in comparison to the end of two years ago.

    In this time span, the bank's short-term overseas debt stock tanked 9.7 percent to USD51.8 billion, whereas other sectors’ short-term overseas debt stock jumped 35.1 percent to USD47.8 billion.

    The imports trade credits under other industries registered USD42.5 billion, a surge of 42.9 percent in comparison to the end of the preceding year.
