    Turkey’s standard stock index closes Friday’s session up

    (MENAFN) The Turkish major stock index started Friday’s session at 2,025.48 points, increasing by 15.50 points, or 0.77 percent, from the last ending.

    The BIST 100 index plummeted by 1.54 percent to end Thursday’s session at 2,009.99 points, with an everyday exchanging volume of 32.4 billion Turkish liras (USD2.4 billion).

    The US dollar/Turkish lira trading rate soared to 13.6267 on 9.30 a.m. domestic time (0630GMT), from 13.6060 at Thursday’s ending.

    The euro/lira trading ratio surged to 15.4871 from 15.4670, whereas a British pound exchanged for 18.5450 liras, dropping from 18.5800 a day before. Brent crude oil sold for about USD92.78 for one barrel at10 a.m. domestic time (0700GMT).
