UAE economy’s rebound strengthens over handling pandemic efficiently

(MENAFN) According to the International Monetary Fund, the country’s economic rebound is gaining strength because of the nation's instant reaction to the coronavirus pandemic and various macroeconomic strategies that are quickening the recovery in tourism and local activity linked to Expo 2020 Dubai.

Based on the Washington-based lender statement after the end of its executive board's discussion with the UAE, “the UAE moved quickly to address the health and economic effects of the pandemic. Widespread testing and containment measures helped limit the initial spread of the virus, while early vaccination efforts have resulted in vaccination rates among the highest globally.”

And added, “fiscal and macro-financial support have provided relief to hard-hit sectors, SMEs [small and medium enterprises], those in need, and the financial system over the past year and half, and some measures have been extended.”
