Saudi crude oil exports register drops in 2021

(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia transported less crude last year from the year that precedes it, even as the country is permitted to extract more oil under its deal with OPEC+ nations.

According to data revealed by the Joint Organizations Data Initiative, also referred to as JODI, the country’s crude oil exports nearly amount at 6.22 million barrels for each day, which is 6.6 percent lower than in 2020. Saudi crude exports also dropped 5.3 percent and 4.6 percent in 2020 and 2019, in that order.

In the concluding month of last year, the country exported 6.94 million barrels for each day of crude, dropping 0.2 percent from the preceding month of 2021, but up by 6.8 percent from December 2020.
