    Turkish economic confidence index plummets in Feb.

    (MENAFN) Based on Turkey’s published figures on Friday, the country’s economic confidence index plummeted 2.6 percent on a monthly basis in February.

    According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), from 100.8 the past January, the index tanked to 98.2.

    All sub-indices registered fell, with the retail trade confidence index dropped the most, 3.8 percent to 119.8 in February in comparison to the last month.

    The consumer confidence index tumbled 2.8 percent to 71.2, while the real sector confidence index decreased 1.8 percent to 109.9. The services confidence index dove 1.2 percent to 118.7, whereas the construction confidence index crashed 3.3 percent to 82.7 in February in comparison to the past month.
