    Iran’s loading, unloading of commodities hit 19 percent

    (MENAFN) Loading and unloading of cargoes in Iran’s harbor soared 19 percent in the period from March 21, 2021 to February 19, 2022 of the present Iranian calendar year, in comparison to the corresponding time span of the past year.

    As declared in a report by Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO), loading and unloading of commodities in the nation’s harbor hit 140.186 million tons in the stated time span, whereas the figure amounted at 117.517 million tons in the previous year’s corresponding period of time.

    According to the report, throughout the mentioned eleven months, unloading and loading procedures in the container sector hit 1.883 million twenty-foot parallel units (TEUs), 13 percent higher than 1.662 million TEUs during the mentioned period of the past year.
