    Turkey’s treasury ministry to pay off USD11.3B worth of debt

    (MENAFN) According to the Turkish Treasury and Finance Ministry announcement on Monday, the Turkish Treasury is going to settle up debt valued at 156.2 billion Turkish liras (USD11.3 billion) in the upcoming three months.

    The Treasury is going to pay off 104.6 billion Turkish liras (USD7.56 billion) in overseas debt, involving 28.5 billion Turkish liras (USD2 billion) in interest payments.

    This March to May, around 51.5 billion Turkish liras (USD3.7 billion) of local debt redemption is also predicted, with 21.3 billion Turkish liras (USD1.54 billion) of this number in interest payments, and the remaining in principal payment.

    Based on the ministry's borrowing policy, the Treasury is going to have a loan of 184 billion Turkish liras (USD13.3 billion) from local markets in the upcoming three months.
