    Turkish standard stock index ends Tuesday in positive territory

    (MENAFN) The Turkish major stock index Borsa Istanbul ended Tuesday’s session with high figures, increasing 0.63 percent to hit 2,188.81 points.

    BIST 100 index opened the day at 2,150.96 points, the stock index surged 13.78 points from Monday's ending of 2,175.03 points.

    Throughout Tuesday's exchanging, the stock index soared between 2,146.32 points and 2,188.81 points – 85 stocks on the index rocketed, 11 plummeted, and four remained at the same value in comparison to the last ending.

    Ending the day with a market worth of about 1.8 trillion Turkish liras (USD120 billion), the major stock index registered an everyday exchanging volume of 33.3 billion Turkish liras (USD2.2 billion).
