    Turkey’s standard stock index ends Friday on low note

    (MENAFN) The Turkish main stock index closed Friday with losses at 2,175.51 points, dropping marginally by 0.03 percent from the last ending.

    Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index opened the day at 2,181.31 points, the stock index plummeted 0.69 points from Thursday’s ending of 2,176.20 points. The lowest worth of the index throughout the day stood at 2,173.64 points, while its highest value amounted at 2,195.23.

    The overall market worth of the BIST 100 was about 1.77 trillion Turkish liras (USD119.2 billion) by market ending, with an everyday exchanging volume of 23.14 billion Turkish liras (USD1.56 billion).

    Throughout the final trading day of the week, 43 stocks on the index jumped, 52 plummeted and five remained at the same value in comparison to the last ending.
