Private equity agreements register two-fold increase to hit USD1.1T

(MENAFN) According to a report, private equity agreement worth registered a two-fold increase the previous year to hit a record high of USD1.1 trillion, pushed by expansion in average agreement volumes as stockholders employed their dry powder to potential sectors.

Based on the report by Bain & Company, buyout agreement worth exceeded 2020's overall amount of USD577 billion and surpassed the past record of USD804bn in 2006.

The report also mentioned, the number of agreements higher than USD1bn soared 57 per cent in 2021 while the median agreement volume hit USD1.1bn.

Bain and Company, "one reason for the sharp increase in deal value last year is the sheer volume of capital in the market.
