    Turkish main stock index closes Tuesday’s session on high note

    (MENAFN) The Turkish major stock index closed Tuesday’s trading session at 2,206.50 points, increasing significantly by 1.57 percent from the last ending.

    Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index opened the day at 2,181.76 points, the stock index increased 34.02 points from Monday's ending of 2,172.48 points. The lowest value of the index throughout the day stood at 2,181.76 points, while its highest value amounted at 2,220.49.

    The overall market worth of the BIST 100 stood at about 1.78 trillion Turkish liras (USD120.8 billion) by market end, with an everyday exchanging capacity of 41.42 billion Turkish liras (USD2.8 billion).

    In the second trading day of the week, 64 stocks on the index jumped, 34 plummeted, and two remained at the same value in comparison to the last ending.
