    UAE flag carrier to register revenues in upcoming year

    (MENAFN) According to Emirates president statement, the biggest long-haul airline in the world, is going to register a “good set of results” for its financial year ending March 31, reducing its losses for the past period of one-year and predicting a return to revenue in the upcoming year as air travel demand recovers.

    Based on Tim Clark’s statement to reporters on Tuesday on the sidelines of the World Government Summit, the carrier is cash-positive once more and has a robust balance sheet.

    He stated, “we've navigated the business from a thumping great loss last financial year to an enormous swing almost back to profitability.”

    And added, “we are forecasting profits next year and hopefully to pay a dividend and repay some of the equity that the government has put into the business.”
