    Turkey’s main stock index ends Monday with increases

    (MENAFN) The Turkish main stock index surged on Monday’s trading session by 2.65 percent to reach its all-time high closing level of 2,311.40 points.

    BIST 100 index opened the day at 2,264.47 points, the stock index surged 59.72 points from Friday's ending of 2,230.35 points.

    Throughout Monday's exchanging, the BIST 100 soared between 2,264.47 and 2,311.40 points – 83 stocks on the index jumped, 13 tumbled, and four remained at the same value in comparison to the last ending.

    Ending the day with a market worth of about 1.9 trillion Turkish liras (USD129 billion), the main stock index registered an everyday exchanging volume of 50.3 billion Turkish liras (USD3.4 billion).
