    Turkey’s consumer confidence drops by 7.3 percent in April

    (MENAFN) Based on the most recent figures announced on Thursday, the Turkish consumer confidence registered a 7.3 percent drop in April.

    According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), from 72.5 in March, the consumer confidence index plummeted to 67.3 the current month.

    The index is a fundamental measure of the economy’s total state, representing individual’s sentiments on fiscal standing and the overall economic condition, as well as expenses and saving tendencies.

    All sub-indices recorded a drop with the financial condition of household, at the meantime, dropping the most at 9.8 percent. The index for assessment of spending money on durable commodities throughout the upcoming 12 months also dropped by 4.9 percent to 88.8.
