    Turkish share market ends Wed. scoring new records

    (MENAFN) Turkey’s main share index Borsa Istanbul on Wednesday increased 0.27 percent recording its highest end of 2,525.93 points.

    The BIST 100 index also scored a fresh intraday new record high of 2,536.49 points.

    Opening the day at 2,528.24 points, the index rose 6.69 points from Tuesday's end of 2,519.24 points.
    The index's lowest price throughout the day stood at 2,502.43 points.

    Its entire market value was over 2.05 trillion Turkish liras (USD140.4 billion) by market end, with a day-to-day exchange volume of over 44.1 billion Turkish liras (USD3 billion).

    Throughout the third transaction day of the week, 59 shares on the index increased, 38 dropped, and three stayed fixed in comparison to Tuesday's close.

    One ounce of gold was exchanged for USD1,951.80 by market end, dropping from USD1,977 at the prior end, as shown by statistics from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
