    Turkey’s BIST 100 index increases at midweek's start

    (MENAFN) Turkiye's main share index started at 2,425.36 points on Wednesday, increasing 7.06 points, or 0.29 percent, from the prior end.

    Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index ended on Tuesday with significant decreases, dropping 2.59 percent to 2,418.30 points, with a day-to-day exchange capacity of 48.1 billion Turkish liras (USD3.2 billion).

    The US dollar/Turkish lira trading rate increased to 14.8070 as of 10 AM regional time (07:00GMT), increasing from 14.8050 at Tuesday's end.

    The euro/lira trading rate fell to 15.7324 in comparison with 15.7710, whereas a British pound exchanged for 18.6211 liras, down from 18.7440 at the previous end.

    Brent crude oil increased 1.1 percent, traded for about USD102.83 for each barrel as of 10 AM regional time.
