    Iran's production of domestic equipment increases 7.5 percent in 1 year

    (MENAFN) In line with the data issued by Industry, Mining and Trade Ministry Manufacture of home equipment in Iran rose 7.56 percent throughout the last Iranian calendar year 1400 (ended on March 20), from its prior year.

    The ministry’s information presented that 6,273,600 sets of large home equipment, such as TV sets, refrigerators as well as freezers, washing machines, plus air coolers were produced in 1400, while the number was 5,832,400 in the year before.

    Between the stated products, only air cooler witnessed a production decrease, and production of the other items rose.

    Over the last little years, the Iranian administration has been following a new policy for backing domestic production to counterbalance the effects of the U.S. restrictions while decreasing the dependence of the economy on oil incomes.
