    ADFD invests in development projects in Jordan amounts to around USD1.8B

    (MENAFN) The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) has invested in development projects valued at around Dh6.5 billion (USD1.76bn) in Jordan since 1974.

    On Tuesday, ADFD stated in an announcement that these projects have “collectively raised the standard of living in Jordan and helped the government to fulfil its sustainable-development objectives”.

    Mohamed Al Suwaidi, ADFD’s chief general, stated that “The relations between the UAE and Jordan exemplify an ideal bilateral partnership, which benefited both countries."

    He went further on that "By financing many development projects, the UAE and ADFD remained a genuine supporter of the advancement of Jordan’s economy and society."

    Mr Al Suwaidi also stated that the benefits of the schemes backed by ADFD in Jordan are replicated in the “phenomenal improvement and diversification of infrastructure” in several sections including education, transport, energy, housing as well as agriculture.
