UAE share in KSA’s non-oil export decreases in Q1

(MENAFN) In line with the initial data released by the General Authority for Statistics the UAE’s part in Saudi Arabia’s non-oil exports counting re-exports fell to 14.81 percent in the January-March this year, decreasing from 14.87 percent the quarter before.

In the January-March period of 2022, Saudi Arabia exported non-oil goods valued at SR11.52 billion (USD3 billion) to its neighboring nation, SR343 million (nearly USD91 million) fewer than in the previous quarter.

The fall is somewhat because of a decrease in transport equipment exports, which made up 27.54 percent of the UAE’s share of (Saudi) exports in the January-March period of 2022.

Exports in this goods group dropped from SR4 billion (around USD1 billion) in the October-December period of last year to SR3.17 billion (nearly USD845 million) in Q1 this year.
