    Turkey’s day-to-day electricity intake increases 14.9 percent on Monday

    (MENAFN) Day-to-day electricity intake in Turkey rose by 14.9 percent on Monday against the day before, amounting to 907,108 megawatt-hours, as shown by official numbers of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday.

    Data from TEIAS presented that hourly power intake reached its highest at 44,313 megawatt-hours at 15:00 regional time (1200 GMT).

    The nation's electricity usage fell to the lowest level of 27,994 megawatt-hours at 07.00 regional time (0400 GMT).

    Electricity production reached 904,723 megawatt-hours on Monday, recording an increase of 14.7 percent against Sunday.

    Electricity production from natural gas plants established 23.8 percent of whole generation, while hydro power and lignite coal constituted 22.1 percent and 12.9 percent, individually.

    On Monday, the nation's electricity exports stood at 12,108 megawatt-hours and imports reached 14,494 megawatt-hours.
