    Iran’s exports, imports of goods reach 33M in two months

    (MENAFN) As declared by Transport and Urban Development Ministry, 33,060,309 tons of commodities were exported and imported in the ports of Iran throughout the first two months of the present Iranian calendar year (March 21-May 21).

    The ministry’s data presents that 16,117,273 tons oil outputs and 16,943,036 tons of non-oil commodities, in addition to 382,270 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) of container goods were exported and imported in the ports throughout the stated two-month period.

    In line with the data earlier issued by Transport and Urban Development Ministry, exporting and importing of goods in the ports of Iran increased 17 percent throughout the previous Iranian calendar year 1400 (ended on March 20), as contrasted to the year before.

    The ministry’s statistics present that loading and unloading of goods in the nation’s ports amounted to 152.91 million tons in the prior Iranian calendar year, while the number reached 130.69 million tons in the year before.
