    Iran steel production reaches over 25M tons in one year

    (MENAFN) As stated in announcement by Industry, Mining and Trade Ministry, 25,205,100 tons of steel outputs was produced in Iran throughout the last Iranian calendar year 1400 (ended on March 20), dropping 5 percent from the production in the year before.

    Also as stated in announcement by Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), the nation exported 3.406 million tons of steel outputs in the last year, while the number stood at 2.832 million tons last year.

    As mentioned by the most recent report issued by the World Steel Association (WSA) Iran has kept its spot as the world’s 10th highest steel producer throughout first quarter of this year.

    The report also stated that output of crude steel in Iran amounted to 6.9 million tons throughout the stated quarter, recording a 4.4 percent decreases yearly.
