    Turkey’s BIST 100 index increases at Thursday start

    (MENAFN) Türkiye's main share index started at 2,578.72 points on Thursday, earning 9.96 points, or 0.39 percent, from the prior end.

    The BIST 100 witnessed a record high ending of 2,554.28 points on Wednesday, while it also jumped to it highest throughout exchange hours, with a day-to-day exchange volume of nearly 42.7 billion Turkish liras (USD2.6 billion).

    The US dollar/Turkish lira trading rate reached 16.4575 at 10.07 AM regional time (0707GMT), rising 0.38 percent for the day.

    The euro/lira trading rate stood at 17.5687, a day-to-day increase of 0.76 percent, whereas one British pound exchanged for 20.6150 liras, increasing 0.78 percent.

    Brent crude oil was exchanging nearly USD114.03 a barrel with an over 1 percent decline ahead of an OPEC+ conference.
