    Borsa Istanbul closes Tuesday with fixed numbers

    (MENAFN) Turkey’s main share index was at 2,648.19 points at the end of the second exchange day of the week.

    Opening the day at 2,650.05 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index gained only 0.07 point from the prior end of 2,648.12 points.

    The index’s worst price throughout the day was 2,619.53 points, whereas its day-to-day peak stood at 2,656.17 points.

    The whole market value of the BIST 100 was nearly 2.15 trillion Turkish liras (USD128.7 billion) by market end, with a day-to-day exchange trading of 47.9 billion Turkish liras (USD2.86 billion).

    Throughout the day, 48 shares on the index increased, 48 dropped, and four were stable against the prior end.

    The price of an ounce of gold stood at USD1,843.30, whereas Brent crude oil traded at almost USD120.43 a barrel at 7:10 PM regional time (1610GMT).
