    Iran’s yearly exports from textile, clothing industries increases 8 percent

    (MENAFN) An official at the Ministry of Industry, Mining and Trade stated that the worth of exports from Iran’s clothing and textile trades in the prior Iranian calendar year 1400 (ended on March 20) rose by 8 percent against the number for the previous year.

    IRIB mentioned in a report that Afsaneh Mehrabi, the director-general of the Weaving and Garment Industries Department of the ministry, stated that the mass of the exports from the stated area also surged by 6 percent yearly.

    Referring to the refreshing of around 200 stagnant textile and clothing output units during the past three years, Mehrabi stated that "Reviving of 405 idle units and establishing 138 new units is also on the agenda this year."

    In line with the official, manufacture of some objects in the textile and clothing industries grew by 12 percent in the stated year.
