    Export from West Azarbaijan rises 9 percent during March 21-May 21

    (MENAFN) A provincial official declared that the amount of export from West Azarbaijan region, in the northwest of Iran, increased 9 percent in the opening two months of the present Iranian calendar year (March 21-May 21), in contrast to the same two months in the last year.

    Abdol-Hamid Sartipi, the temporary chief of the province’s Industry, Mining and Trade Department, stated that commodities valued at more than USD118 million were exported from the region in the opening two-month of the year.

    The authorized also mentioned that the two-month export signals a 17 percent increase in terms of mass yearly, putting the weight of exported outputs at 366.53 million tons.

    He titled agricultural and industrial outputs, minerals, petrochemicals, carpets, as well as handicrafts as the main objects exported from the region.
