    TEDPIX closes Wednesday with 9,700 points down

    (MENAFN) On Wednesday, TEDPIX, the benchmark index of Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) lost 9,737 points to end at 1.564 million points.

    As mentioned by reports, more than 5.215 billion securities valued at 35.478 trillion rials (nearly USD131.4 million) were exchanged at the TSE.

    The first market’s index dropped 10,002 points, and the second market’s index fell 10,706 points.

    A market expert has faith that the Iranian share exchange market can increase by 30 percent by the end of the ongoing Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2023).

    In a meeting with IRNA on May 8, Ahmad Eshtiaqi mentioned the expansion of the stock market index and the factors impacting it and stated that “It seems that the shares of companies still have room for growth and according to the forecasts, the stock market can grow by about 30 percent by the end of the year, but this growth will be gradual and slow.”
