    TEDPIX drops 16,000 points at Saturday’s session end

    (MENAFN) TEDPIX, the benchmark index of Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE), dropped 16,632 points to 1.547 million on Saturday (the opening day of Iranian calendar week).

    As mentioned in reports, more than 6.437 billion securities valued at 41.626 trillion rials (nearly USD148.66 million) were exchange at the TSE.

    The first market’s index fell 11,138 points, and the second market’s index dropped 36,729 points.

    Back in October 2021, chief of Securities and Exchange Organization (SEO) Majid Eshqi had highlighted new plans and strategies for the nation’s share market throughout his tenure, between which backing financers, producing a transparent, efficient, and equitable market, in addition to dipping wide-ranging danger based on the market’s broad aims can be mentioned.

    Eshqi had highlighted the use of modern technologies and mechanisms to raise public access to market data as a major policy in this regard.
