    Iran's monthly red meat output rises 11 percent yearly

    (MENAFN) Statistical Center of Iran (SCI) declared that output of red meat in Iran was at 50,761 tons in the second month of the ongoing Iranian calendar year (April 21-May 21), indicating an 11 percent rise against the same period in the last year.

    The SCI’s report mentioned that beef and veal had the lion’s portion in the nation’s red meat production throughout the second month with 25,295 tons, shadowed by lamb and mutton with 21,331 tons, goat meat with 3,141 tons, and red meat from other livestock with 994 tons.

    As mentioned in reports, the sum of red meat supply in the official slaughterhouses of the nation in the second month of this year has also increased 8 percent in comparison to the first month.

    Iran is between the top consumers of red meat in the West Asia district with lamb being the highest wanted meat.
