    Turkey’s day-to-day power intake rises 14 percent on Monday

    (MENAFN) As shown by official numbers of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday daily electricity intake in Turkey rose by 14.7 percent on Monday against the day before, amounting to 908,984 megawatt-hours.

    Statistics from TEIAS presented that hourly power intake was at its highest at 44,743 megawatt-hours at 15.00 AM regional time (1200 GMT).

    The nation's electricity usage fell to the worst level of 28,461 megawatt-hours at 07.00 AM regional time (0400 GMT).

    Electricity output totaled 901,120 megawatt-hours on Monday, marking a rise of 3.18 percent against Sunday.

    Electricity output from natural gas energy plants contributed 27.4 percent of the whole generation, whereas hydro power plants and imported coal plants constituted 17.7 percent and 17 percent, individually.

    On Monday, the nation's electricity exports amounted to 5,631 megawatt-hours and imports added up to 13,495 megawatt-hours.
