    Turkey’s day-to-day electricity intake rises 14.5pct on Monday

    (MENAFN) According to what was shown by official numbers of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday day-to-day power intake in Turkey witnessed a rise of 14.5 percent as of Monday in comparison to the prior day (June 26, Sunday), amounting to 913,350 megawatt-hours.

    Hourly power intake reached its highest at 44,299 megawatt-hours as of 04.00 PM regional time (1300 GMT), data from TEIAS presented. The nation's electricity usage fell to the worst amount standing at 28,497 megawatt-hours as of 06.00 AM regional time (0300 GMT).

    Electricity output amounted to 905,168 megawatt-hours on Monday, indicating a rise of 14.7 percent in contrast with that day before (Sunday).

    Electricity output from imported coal plants contributed 18.9 percent of whole generation, whereas hydropower and natural gas plants constituted 17.4 percent and 16 percent, each in that order.

    On Monday, the nation's electricity exports amounted to 7,450 megawatt-hours and imports amounted to 15,633 megawatt-hours.
