    Turkey’s Borsa Istanbul opens Thursday’s session fixed

    (MENAFN) Turkey’s main share index started at 2,400.80 points on Thursday, marginally dropped by 0.05 percent, or 1.17 points, from the prior end.

    Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index dropped by 3.55 percent to 2,401.96 points at Wednesday's end, with a day-to-day exchange volume of 36.1 billion Turkish liras (USD2.2 billion).

    The US dollar/Turkish lira trading rate fell to 16.5988 at 10.22 AM regional time (0722GMT) from 16.6400 at the prior end.

    The euro/Turkish lira trading price dropped to 17.3670 from 17.4310, whereas a British pound exchanged for 20.2081 Turkish liras, increasing from 20.1990 at the previous end.

    Precious metals witnessed declines with gold falling 0.1 percent to USD1,817 as well as silver falling 0.4 percent to USD20.78.

    Crude costs were increased over 1 percent. Global oil main Brent crude was exchanging at USD115.81 for a 1.8 percent earn, whereas US main West Texas Intermediate (WTI) stood at USD113.61 – rising 1.6 percent.
