    Tehran’s housing rental increases 46.5pct in 1 month

    (MENAFN) Central Bank of Iran (CBI) has declared that the rental cost has surged 46.5 percent in the capital Tehran throughout the third Iranian calendar month Khordad (ended on June 21), in comparison to the same period in the last year.

    As presented by the CBI, the rental cost has also increased 2.7 percent in Iran’s capital in the third month compared to the second month.

    The CBI has also declared that the average housing cost has risen 8.4 percent in the capital Tehran throughout the third month, from its preceding month, and 32.8 percent from the same month of the last year.

    According to the CBI data, the average cost for one square meter of a residential unit in Tehran reached 394.14 million rials (nearly USD1,313) throughout the stated month.

    As was earlier reported, the number of real estate transactions reached 13,900 in Tehran in the third month of this year, gaining 32.3 percent from the prior month, in addition to 171.9 percent from the same month of the last year.
