Turkey’s Borsa Istanbul opens week with higher figures
(MENAFN) Turkey’s main stock index started at 2,458.73 points on Monday, increasing by 0.61 percent, or 14.96 points, from the last week's end.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index surged 1.6 percent to 2,443.77 points at Friday's end, with a day-to-day exchange capacity of 28.3 billion Turkish liras (USD1.7 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira trade price marginally up to 16.7706 as of 10.22 AM regional time (0722GMT) from 16.7610 at the prior end.
The euro/Turkish lira trade price witnessed a rise of 17.4984 from 17.3900, whereas a British pound sold for 20.3295 Turkish liras, increasing from 20.1440 at the prior end.
International main Brent crude was exchanging at USD111.92 a barrel at 0705 GMT for a 0.26 percent surge after the prior session ended at USD111.63 per barrel.
American main West Texas Intermediate (WTI) stood at USD108.62 a barrel at the same time for a 0.17 percent increase after the prior session ended at USD108.43 per barrel.
