Turkey’s Borsa Istanbul opens Thursday’s session higher
(MENAFN) Turkey’s main share index started at 2,408.15 points on Thursday, increased 1.56 percent, or 36.90 points, from the prior end.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index fell by 1.44 percent to 2,371.25 points at Wednesday's end, with a day-to-day exchange volume of 30 billion Turkish liras (nearly USD1.7 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira trade price saw a surge of 17.2790 as of 09.55 AM regional time (0655GMT) compared to 17.2010 at the prior end.
The euro/Turkish lira trade price saw a rise of 17.6085 in comparison to 17.4960, whereas a British pound exchanged for 20.6618 Turkish liras, surging from 20.4780 at the prior end.
Precious metals were decreased with gold increasing 1.4 percent to USD1,740 as well as silver declining 0.1 percent to USD19.20.
Global oil main Brent crude was sold at USD100.40 a barrel for a 2.3 percent decline, whereas US main West Texas Intermediate (WTI) stood at USD98.47 – declining by 1 percent.
