    Iran’s export of polymer outputs increases 23pct YoY

    (MENAFN) Iran shipped more than USD3.320 billion worth of polymer outputs in the last Iranian calendar year (ended on March 20), recording a 23 percent increase year on year, a board member of Iran National Plastic as well as Polymer Industries Association (INPIA) stated.

    IRNA mentioned in a report that talking at a press meeting on the global meeting of encouraging exports of polymer outputs in Tehran on Wednesday, Barmak Ghanbarpour stated that polymer industry amounted to 73 percent of the entire value of the non-oil shipments made by the nation’s industrial area in the prior year.

    Ghanbarpour stated that “Iran's total non-oil export was 48 billion dollars last year, and the share of polymer industries from the total non-oil export is estimated at seven percent.”

    In line with the official, presently, 8,000 manufacture units are active in this industry which have an entire output volume of 13 million tons.
