Qatar’s hospitality area sees strong rebound
(MENAFN) As shown by the Planning and Statistics Authority (PSA) figures Qatar’s hospitality area is seeing a robust bounce with hotels across sectors witnessing a rise in residence level, however, among the hotels, two and one star hotels have registered the biggest occupancy level in May 2022.
The occupancy level of two and one star hotels jumped to 93 percent in May compared to 50 percent in the same month in 2021 because of steady fading of COVID-19 procedures causing the increase in hotel visitors and guests.
The hotel and hotel apartments in Qatar saw a strong performance with the total occupancy level standing at 58 percent in May 2022.
In line with the data the hotels of all categories, ranging from five star to two as well as one star, have witnessed a surge in occupancy rates and income per available room.
The occupancy levels of deluxe hotel apartments in addition to standard hotel apartments for May 2022 stood at 47 percent as well as 78 percent individually.
