    Dubai maintains spot as world's highest location for tourism FDI last year

    (MENAFN) As mentioned in a report Dubai maintained its spot as the world's highest location for foreign direct investment into the tourism area last year.

    As shown by The Financial Times’ fDi Markets information the emirate collected Dh6.4 billion (USD1.7bn) in FDI through 30 ventures in 2021, demanding the highest spot in FDI capital, ventures as well as job creation in the tourism area.

    The new funds and ventures produced 5,545 new employment opportunities throughout the year, in line with the Dubai FDI Monitor report, issued by the Dubai Investment Development Agency (Dubai FDI).

    Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, published on Twitter that “Dubai’s rank as the top FDI destination for tourism is a testament to the sector’s resilience and stability. It reaffirms the sector’s role as a key economic driver that offers international investors confidence and an exceptional opportunity for stable and sustainable returns.”
