    Russia, Ukraine ink deal on grain export with intervention of Turkey

    (MENAFN) With the intervention of Turkey as well as the UN, Ukraine and Russia on Friday inked a deal in Istanbul on the continuation of Ukraine’s grain exports from Black Sea ports, a political development greeted across the world.

    The UK administration on Friday greeted the breakthrough grain agreement inked by Russia, Ukraine, the UN as well as Turkey to continue grain shipments via the Black Sea.

    Foreign Secretary Liz Truss stated in an announcement that "(Russian President Vladimir) Putin's barbaric invasion of Ukraine has meant some of the poorest and most vulnerable people in the world are at risk of having nothing to eat."

    Adding "Now this agreement must be implemented, and we will be watching to ensure Russia's actions match its words."

    The deal was hailed by additional nations as well.

    The US named Ukraine grain agreement signed in Istanbul a 'positive step,' and showed gratitude to leader Erdogan, UN chief Antonio Guterres for their efforts.
